The Grand Rapids Real Estate Market is picking up steam!

So often when you hear about the Real Estate Market it seems like nothing is selling. You might talk to one realtor who says they have only sold five homes this year. I feel bad for that agent, but that is not the case for the overall market and at our office!

Over the last two weeks the market has really taken off!! The $8,000 tax credit seems to be stirring the pot, and there are buyers everywhere looking at homes.

I am currently working with 6-8 buyers and go out to show homes almost every day of the week right now. Traditionally I send the buyer a list of homes to choose from and we set up 5-7 homes to look at in an evening. At the beginning of the season nearly all were consistently available to see. But over the last 2 weeks when I call to set up a showing half of the homes are sold or have had an offer in the last couple of days.

So if you’re thinking about buying or selling now is just the right time. I know every Realtor says that!:) But I can honestly say this market is moving! Homes are selling!
